Minnesota State stays hot; Gophers outshot, still beat Denver in OT - CHS 12-01-25

MN College Hockey Scoreboard Show For Games from November 25-30 2025 We didn’t have a super full plate of games across the Division I slate, but we had a pretty decent Thanksgiving week of games overall in the State of Hockey, complete with postponements and snowy travel. It’s time for another edition of Minnesota’s College Hockey Scoreboard Show where as always, it’s not about the analysis, it’s not about the breakdowns, it’s JUST. THE. SCORES. AND MAYBE A DAD JOKE OR THREE. Division I Men Minn...

Minnesota State women sweep Gophers for first time in nearly two decades; Splits abound on the men's side

We’ve got more splits than a bad bowling alley. After a weekend that saw me in Oklahoma, thus, unable to do an adequately mid-job at doing a show, we’re back out of the box and back for another episode of Minnesota’s College Hockey Scoreboard Show. Here’s a tip I learned from our man State of Hoppy - take that Lucky Seven 7th Avenue Pizza, 14 minutes, then finish with a minute or two on broil and BOOM. Scorched roof of your mouth goodness. Probably why I didn’t record this show earlier. And Happ...

UMD, Gophers pick up weekend sweeps; MIAC action ramps up

Sports are hard. Trying to maintain your place in college hockey’s upper echelon is also hard. When you think about it, there’s 16 teams that get to make the tournament. There’s six conferences, so that’s five spots you aren’t going to get right off the top. That means you have to be one of the best 11 teams in the country each and every year for your fanbase not to complain that the sky is falling. But that’s sports. Rationality goes out the window. WIth that in mind, here’s this weekend’s Minn...

St. Cloud State splits with No. 3 Western Michigan; Gopher women hand No. 1 Badgers first loss in split

College hockey’s been nuts this year and we’ve got ebbs and flows, peaks and valleys. It’s enough to make you pull your hair out - or if you don’t have any, grow in gray. Conference action is here. You already hate the NPI even though it’s not even worth looking at until January at the earliest. Did you learn NOTHING from years of not understanding Pairwise? It’s like you’re Lowell Sun. Anyway, it’s time for Minnesota’s College Hockey Scoreboard Show, where there’s no breakdowns, no analysis, it...

St. Thomas christens new building with some wild ones; UMD men sweep Gophers

It was a wild opening to the new Lee and Penny Anderson Arena on the campus of St. Thomas this weekend, UMD is starting off the men’s season on a heater, while the other Minnesota State, Bemidji State and St. Cloud State all picked up sweeps. The powers in women’s hockey are still that. It’s another week of college hockey action on the ice in the State of Hockey, so it’s time for Minnesota’s College Hockey Scoreboard Show, where there’s no breakdowns, no analysis, it’s just the scores! Division...

Old rivalries rekindled in a weekend full of splits around the State of Hockey - CHS 10-19-25

Splits and ties dominated the scoreboard over the weekend. We had some old WCHA rivalries rekindled, some in-state scraps and some bizarre flips from one game to the next. But that’s all normal in the world of men’s and women’s Division I college hockey - or so I’ve learned. It’s time for Minnesota’s College Hockey Scoreboard Show. We’ll begin on the men’s side … Wisconsin vs Minnesota State (at Wisconsin) Thu, Oct. 16, 2025: #17 Wisconsin 1, #20 Minnesota State 1 (UW wins SO) Fri, Oct. 17, 202...

Gophers end shootout drought; Huskies sweep Beavers; Gopher women sweep; UMD falls in dramatic fashion

Some stellar upsets around college hockey over the weekend, but nothing apocalyptic in the Land of 10,000 Skates. You like that? Yeah, I like that too. Here’s the rundown of action from October 9–12, 2025, on this week’s edition of Minnesota’s College Hockey Scoreboard Show. And for the 54th straight St. Cloud State men’s game, local sponsor Jupiter Moon still hasn’t brought me a scoop. At least my kids love it. I mean, I had some at Albany Pioneer Days last summer, but on to the show. We’ll be...

Gophers split; Tommies top St. Cloud; Duluth, Bemidji roll in Alaska; Murphy scores five as Gopher women sweep BU

It’s the opening weekend of Division I men’s college hockey and the action around the State of Hockey did not disappoint. The outcomes, however, might have been disappointing depending on who you’re a fan of. Here’s the rundown of action from October 3-4, 2025 on this week’s edition of Minnesota’s College Hockey Scoreboard Show - and there will no overstating the impact of Gavin McKenna’s first weekend of college hockey here. We’ll begin on the men’s side … Eighth-ranked Minnesota opened its sea...

Gopher women put up 18 goals in weekend sweep over BC; Huskies split Top 15 series with ... Huskies

Something old, something new, something borrowed and something brewed. That’s right folks, we’re now on board with The Sota Pod, so in addition to shows like Fellowship of the Rink, Judd’z Budz and MNCAA, you’ve got my mild-mannered mid-hockey mind bringing you the quick and dirty from the week in Minnesota college hockey with Minnesota’s College Hockey Scoreboard Show. Just like last time, it’s got nothing of what you don’t need. It’s no breakdowns, it’s no analysis, it’s JUST. THE SCORES. Let...

The puck has dropped on the college hockey season and it’s a pretty solid start for Minnesota schools. This is Minnesota’s College Hockey Scoreboard show, and just like the old version, this 2.0 version is more of the same - no breakdowns, no analysis, it’s JUST. THE. SCORES. The state’s national collegiate women’s hockey teams went a combined 8-0 on the opening weekend of women’s college hockey. Minnesota-Duluth women Sixth-ranked Minnesota Duluth opened its season with a two-game sweep at Me...

Playoffs? Yeah, that's where we're at - CHS 3-7-25

It’s the #CollegeHockeyScoreboard Show for March 7, 2025. Still a bot, but you know what, I think you might like this voice better. Our host Jason Bryant was announcing all day in Wichita - he had some victory drinks while he was at it. So there’s no...

Boston U. pummels Providence; UConn, Northeastern pick up Husky double - CHS 3-6-25

It’s the #CollegeHockeyScoreboard Show for March 6, 2025. This one’s still on the road in Little Rock, but I’m going to cheat tonight. You’re not hearing my voice. I tagged a bot in for this one. But even with a bot, it’s still just the scores.

Northeastern drops top-seeded UConn, while BU tops BC in Hockey East; LIU, Sacred Heart to meet for NEWHA crown - CHS 3-5-25

Greetings from Wichita, home of the ECHL’s Wichita Thunder. It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for March 5, 2025. Postseason hockey is the best hockey, right? Maybe a bit more than the scores as we’re whittling down the teams in the 2024-25 season, but here’s the scores.

Wrapping up the weekend with regular season cup winners and women's playoff action - CHS 3-2-25

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for March 1-2, 2025. No excuses. I’m just a busy guy this time of year. Oh by the way, that whole four-overtime thriller in Division III women’s action was at Augsburg, where I spent Friday and Saturday...

Western Michigan claims first Penrose Cup; Penn State picks off Minnesota; Women's tournaments fire up - CHS 2-28-25

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for February 28, 2025. Shortest month of the year with a ton of games regardless. The women have conference tournaments all over the place, while the men are in the home stretch. There’s No breakdowns. No Analysis. It’s JUST. THE. SCORES.

Buckeyes beat Wolverines in OT, while Minutemen and River Hawks tie in Hockey East - CHS 2-27-25

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for February 27, 2025. I was in a hockey rink today, only it was covered in wrestling mats. XCel Energy Center in St. Paul is a great place to watch any type of hockey. It’s also a great place for the Minnesota state wrestling championships - even if the HS league itself can’t be bothered by blogs, podcasts or anything that isn’t legacy media. Anyway. Two games on Thursday. No breakdowns. No Analysis. It’s JUST. THE. SCORES.

Vermont, Merrimack prevail in first round of Hockey East women's tournament - CHS 2-26-25

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for February 26, 2025. It’s the first round of winner-take-all, win and keep going games in Hockey East. They call it the first round, but you’re playing into the best-of-three quarters with a dub. No breakdowns. No Analysis. It’s JUST. THE. SCORES.

Penn State men stay hot, top No. 1 Michigan State; UConn women claim second-straight Hockey East title - CHS 2-22-25

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for February 22, 2025. I’m out of the rinks for the rest of the hockey season, but the show rolls on. We’ve got conference races that are just bonkers and a pair of tournaments firing up on the women’s side. No breakdowns. No Analysis. It’s JUST. THE. SCORES.

Feb. 22, 2025

No. 12 Arizona State drops third-ranked Western Michigan; Wisconsin women win 30th of the year - CHS 2-21-25

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for February 21, 2025.  It’s our last fully bloated Friday with a pretty full schedule of games on both the men’s and women’s side. It’s also my last full Friday on the blower, but what begins now is seven weeks on the road with my main sport. But you don’t care about that. You just want breakdowns. No, you won’t get that here. You want analysis. Sorry, not yet an elite hockey mind. You want JUST. THE. SCORES.

BC women knock off No. 15 Northeastern; Holy Cross sweeps Vermont - CHS 2-16-25

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for February 16, 2025. We’ve only got two games, both women and both in Hockey East to close out the week - or start the week if you’re one of these people who thinks like a calendar and thinks the week BEGINS on a Sunday. Why else would Saturday/Sunday be called a WEEKEND if it wasn’t ENDING a week. Boom. Roasted. Semantics aside, and I don’t care if you’re right and I’m wrong, one thing is certainly right - here, you’ll get none of that analysis, none of those breakdowns, you’ll get Just. The. Scores.

CC holds on, avoids the upset in OT; Series splits aplenty around the country - CHS 2-15-25

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for February 15, 2025. Roads were plowed, ice was resurfaced and pucks were dropped. We’ve got the women’s season starting to wind down with just a couple weeks left on the men’s side as well. We’ve got conference champions, championship races, but never any breakdowns, never any analysis, but always Just. The. Scores.

St. Cloud State women take first ever win at Ridder; UMass stops top-ranked BC men - CHS 2-14-25

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for February 14, 2025. Four hours in the car - to work an even that took 70 actual minutes. How was your midwestern Friday on I-94? Kinda fitting for Valentine’s Day for some. Oh, but you’re here for the hockey scores. You’re not here for analysis or breakdown, you’re here for Just. The. Scores. If you’re here for more, I’m sorry to disappoint you - unless you want Bad 80s references.
